Missing woman could be in Sussex - released on behalf of Surrey Police
Surrey Police are concerned for the welfare of a 21-year-old woman from Ashtead who has been reported missing.
Emily Burnett absconded from Epsom General Hospital at 5.50pm yesterday with another woman who has since returned. Miss Burnett was receiving treatment having previously been sectioned under the Mental Health Act. She is described as a white, around 5' 1" of slim build, with shoulder-length, straight blonde hair. She was wearing a brown striped jumper with a picture of a skull on it, black trousers, black canvas shoes and yellowish plastic rimmed rectangular glasses when last seen. She is not believed to pose any threat to the wider public but it is imperative that she is found and able to continue her treatment.
Anyone who has seen a woman matching Miss Burnett's description to call Surrey Police immediately on 101, quoting reference M/13/800. Similarly, if Miss Burnett sees or hears this appeal, I would urge her to make contact or come into a police station.

Do you recognise these rings? They were stolen in a burglary at Wellington Gardens in Selsey at about 1pm.
The 49-year-old victim was visited by a man who offered to do work on his driveway or roof and kept him talking for several minutes. When the man left, the victim discovered that the wedding rings of him and his partner that he was preparing to photograph had been taken from the dining room table. The rings were platinum wedding rings with a beading design around the entire edge.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car ran into a pony carrying a child and then drove off.
The nine-year-old, Joshua Kindell, was riding his pony Tango in Loxwood Road, Rudgwick, when the animal was struck from behind by a silver car. Joshua was knocked into a hedge to his left and the pony ran off, dragging with it the boys mother, Kate, who had been holding the reins and walking in front. The driver did not stop.
The incident happened shortly after 10am as the family were travelling south west along the road, towards The Fox Inn at Tismans Common. Police are carrying out forensic tests on a wing mirror knocked off in the impact to try to link it to the vehicle involved and its driver. Mrs Kindell suffered a hand injury and had to go to hospital for treatment. Joshua suffered cuts and bruises. A vet visited to check the pony for injuries. It had suffered cuts and bruises.
PC Karen Whitehouse, of Sussex Police road policing unit, said: "It is clear from the debris left at the scene that the driver must have known that they had hit the pony but did not bother to check on the animal, the boy or his mother. We have seized a silver Peugeot that we are examining to try to confirm if it is the vehicle involved."
