Missing Roberto Correia from Crawley
Sussex Police are searching for 38-year-old Portuguese man Roberto Correia, who has not been since leaving his Crawley home more than a week ago.
Roberto, who is believed to suffer from autism, was last seen by his family at 8.50am on Thursday, May 22. He does not leave home very often on his own, but is very enthusiastic about visiting museums.
PC Matt Gowin said: "Roberto was seen to leave his home in Weald Drive on a bicycle at about 9.30am. Along with his family and friends, we are growing increasingly worried about his whereabouts and his health and if anyone has any information about him, please call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 766 of 22/05.

Sister of missing Crawley man Jean Leveque makes emotional appeal
The sister of missing Crawley man Jean Leveque has made an emotional appeal for help to find him.
Jean was reported missing on 22 May by his sister Marie when she became concerned that she had not spoken to him for more than a week. The 42-year-old was last seen by a friend around May 8 but has not been seen since. He lives in Hawth Close in Crawley but is often seen in the town centre and the Three Bridges area.
Marie said: "Jean and I are very close. We grew up in Mauritius and after I moved to Crawley he joined me in 2008. Before he disappeared we spoke several times a week. If I didn't call him for a couple of days he would come and see me. Jean is very shy. He wouldn't approach people for help if he didn't know them. It's very difficult at the moment. Some very bad thoughts are going through my head because it has so been so long since I saw him. I need to know where he is. Please, if you have any idea where Jean is, call the police."
Jean is black with short black hair and a pierced right ear. When he was last seen he was wearing a fleece jacket and jeans.

Murder investigation launched into disappearance of Lancing man

Police have launched a murder investigation into the disappearance of Lancing man Mark Manning.
Detectives from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team are now investigating after Mr Manning, 54, of Brighton Road, was reported missing on 22 April. Mr Manning, who was a former military bomb disposal expert, is well travelled and worked for the Mines Advisory Group [MAG], a charity that removes landmines and other dangers in some of the world's poorest countries. His family last heard from him on 19 April. They say his disappearance is completely out of character and he has never done this before.
Detective Chief Inspector Mike Ashcroft, who is leading the investigation, said: "Although we can't categorically prove that Mark is dead at this time, we are treating this as seriously as we can. His sudden disappearance is completely out of character. He is close to his family but they have not heard from him at all. He hasn't used his mobile phone, or carried out any financial transactions, hasn't turned up for pre-arranged appointments and meetings and there has no been no reported sightings of him. There were no signs that he was depressed or may wish to harm himself. He seems to have vanished.
His family are desperate to know what has become of him and they are being supported by a specially trained police officer. We want to hear from anyone who may have seen Mark or has any information about where he maybe."

HAYLING LIFEBOAT
Time: 15:50
Incident: Hayling RNLI launch to dog and owner
Hayling RNLI save 'Bella' and avert a more serious incident.
On Sunday afternoon 22 June 'Bella', a Staffordshire bull terrier, swam into the Chichester Harbour entrance, became confused and was at risk of being run down by vessels entering the Harbour. She was rescued by the Hayling Island RNLI Lifeboat
Senior Helm Andy Ferguson from the Hayling RNLI was on the beach with his family at Sandy Point and noticed a commotion in the harbour entrance. 'Bella' was about 200m offshore and distressed, and was not responding to her lady owner's frantic calling. The owner's partner had swum out to the dog and was trying in vain to catch her but he was beginning to struggle apparently more than the dog. Several members of the public and boat owners entering the harbour tried to rescue them, but other vessels narrowly missed the swimmer and his dog.
Andy called Solent Coastguard and asked for a lifeboat launch as a swimmer was in grave and imminent danger. The lifeboat was launched and arrived very quickly and plucked the dog from the sea and returned it to the owner on the beach. Bailey Birchall -pictured with Bella- son of the dog's owner was delighted to be re-united with his pet. The owners partner had by this time managed to swim back to the shore and was unhurt. - Full report

As he walked along Goffs Lane alongside Snell Hatch Cemetery he saw two men walking towards him.
