Incident: Officer cut free from Police car crash
Emergency services, including West Sussex Fire and Rescue, were called to the incident after a Volkswagen Golf, driven by a 35-year-old man from Brighton, was in collision with the police BMW 530. The road was closed in both directions after the accident.

in communal stairwell of flats - 5 persons rescued from 1st floor flats by WSF&RS using triple extension ladders
3 persons led to safety through the central stairwell - fire extinguished by WSF&RS using 4BA, 3HRS and thermal imaging camera - a man in his 20s was treated for mild smoke inhalation at the scene by paramedics but did not go to hospital - an investigation into the cause of the fire has now begun
