Thousands of pounds worth of computer and electrical equipment has been stolen in a raid on the telephone exchange at Ashington, near Pulborough.

Five BT Openreach EXFO testers, valued at £1600 each, pictured, were taken, along with a computer, a laptop and other electrical equipment to a total value of £13,000. The break-in happened at some time between 5.30pm on Monday February 14 and 7.30am on Tuesday.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area of the exchange in London Road between those times or who may have been offered equipment for sale, to contact 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 193 of 15/02.
