Police seek witnesses to Billingshurst incident
Location - Billingshurst High Street
Time - 19 January 2011 11.30am
Police ref - 34090

Police were called to Budgens in Billingshurst High Street just after 11.30am today, Wednesday 19 January, after a 35-year old man had come in to the store saying he had just jumped or been pushed from a black Audi A4 estate outside.

He was taken to Worthing Hospital to be treated for facial injuries, and for injuries to his right leg and ankle which are thought to have been sustained in the process of leaving the car.

The car, which is understood to belong to the injured man, and was reported to contain several other men, was found burnt out shortly afterwards in nearby Marringdean Lane.

A Sussex Police spokesman said; "We are asking anyone who saw the incident in the High Street, or the car being driven afterwards, to contact us via 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 0689 of 19 January."
