Police have released images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a £10,000 watch from a jewellers in Chichester.

The incident happened at about 1.45pm on Tuesday, 24 July 2012, in Austens in North Street. After entering the shop, a man went to the display with a sales assistant, whilst she was getting an item for him, he leant over and took the Rolex before leaving.

PC Jimmy Upton, from Chichester's Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "This was a very brazen theft and we are hoping that someone will recognise the suspect from the photographs we have released.

"We would like to hear from anyone who has information about his identity, who has been offered a Rolex watch for sale, or who knows anything about the theft, to call us on 101 quoting serial 0909 of 24 July.
Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
