Motor-cyclists injured in Rogate crash

Two motor-cyclists were injured in a collision near Rogate on Sunday afternoon, 20 March.
 
The incident happened on the A272 just west of Rogate at the junction with Slade Lane, at midday on Sunday when one of the bikes was in collision with a Toyota Corolla saloon car. The second bike overturned and caught fire. All three vehicles had been travelling eastbound.
 
The rider of the first bike, a 38-year old man from Bracknell in Berkshire, was taken by air ambulance to Southampton General Hospital with serious but not life threatening leg and shoulder injuries. The 40-year old rider of the second bike, from Bagshot in Surrey, was airlifted to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham with shoulder and chest injuries which are not believed to be serious.
 
The 81-year old man from Verwood in Dorset who was driving the car was unhurt.
 
Inspector Phil Nicholas of the Sussex Road Policing Unit said- We would like anyone who saw the crash to contact us via 0845 60 70 99 quoting serial 0623 of 20 March.
