64+ years of Fireworks
Saturday 3rd November 2018

Every year since 1953 (Coronation year) the village of Heyshott has celebrated Guy Fawkes Night with a splendid bonfire and fireworks display.
When the great day arrives the road through the village is closed at 6pm to all traffic except residents and officials with special passes. Then, at 7pm, people of all ages start their march from Hoyle Lane through the village to the site of the bonfire, which is normally lit at 7.30pm.
At 8 pm there is a magnificent display of fireworks to bring the main celebrations to a close.

There is no set charge for entry into the Bonfire & Fireworks display but there are buckets in which to place donations.
Please give as generously as possible to keep this local event alive and well.

For safety, please park as instructed.

HEYSHOTT FIREWORKS - JUBILEE YEAR 2012

Heyshott will hold its 60th consecutive bonfire and fireworks evening on Saturday 3rd November 2012. Started in 1953 for the village Scouts, it is now a well known much loved family event. A product of its own success, we have had a difficult year trying to comply with legislation and ensure everyone's safety without compromising on the enjoyment that the evening offers. Charging an entrance fee was an option, but it was felt the traditional atmosphere would be lost. However, we have employed the services of a Professional Parking Company who will ensure everyone parks as close as possible to the village and we would ask for your co-operation and follow their instructions. This event is self funding, so please give generously when asked, so that this event can continue for another 60 years. Lets keep the Jubilee spirit alive.
7pm Torchlight Procession through the village with a Pipe Band - 7.30pm Lighting of the Bonfire
7.35pm Mr Punch Show - 8pm Fireworks Display
Soup, sausages and a licensed bar.
