BOGNOR REGIS
ROBBERY

Police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a knifepoint robbery in Bognor.

The incident happened at 7.50am on Friday 20 January 2012. The 29-year-old victim had been to a cashpoint in Bersted Parade, Chichester Road, before hearing two men behind him as he turned into an alleyway.

One of them grabbed his jacket and the victim noticed a hunting style knife in his hand. He demanded money and then threatened him. The victim handed over the cash and both men headed out of the alleyway towards Collyer Avenue.

The first suspect who had the knife is described as white, 6' 3', balding and of stocky build. He had three black outlined tattooed stars on the left hand side of his neck and was wearing a black coat and black jeans.

The second suspect is described as smaller than his accomplice, aged in his 20s. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a black coat, dark blue jeans and black trainers. Both men spoke with Eastern European accents.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone with information should call 101 quoting serial 0223 of 20 January.
