Series of burglaries in the Summersdale area
Police Press Release
24 February 2012

CHICHESTER
BURGLARIES

West Sussex CID are investigating five burglaries which happened in the Summersdale area of Chichester overnight on Friday 17 February - some whilst the homeowners were asleep upstairs. Various items of property were stolen during the break-ins, including electrical and computer equipment; some of the stolen property was discovered discarded outside the houses that had been burgled. Police have released a photo of a 19th century ornate mantle clock which was taken in one of the break-ins in the hope that it can be traced and reunited with its owners. It is 26cm in height and stamped 'Ramilo Paris'. It is believed that the break-ins are linked to an on-going series of house burglaries across the southern part of West Sussex known as Operation Etna. Detectives are working closely with colleagues in Hampshire as its believed the crimes could also be linked to others that have been committed across the border. If anyone has any information about the burglaries or the property stolen then contact Sussex Police on 101, quoting serial 609 of 18 February.

This is the first age that's ever paid much attention to the future,
