Seven people injured in Chichester collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in which seven people were injured.
 
A blue Audi A3 was being driven east along Old Broyle Road, Chichester, when it collided with an on-coming black Subaru car at around 10.20pm.
 
The Subaru caught fire as a result of the collision causing another car, a green Peugeot, to suffer from damage.
 
Seven people were injured, six seriously, and all were taken to hospital for treatment.
 
The 30-year-old male Subaru driver from Okehampton in Devon suffered serious chest injuries in the collision which are thought to be life-threatening.
 
A 20-year-old man from Stockbridge in Hampshire, who was a passenger in the Subaru, suffered from serious head injuries which are thought to be life-threatening.
 
A 22-year-old male Subaru passenger from Rowlands Castle, Hampshire, suffered from a broken wrist and has been released from hospital.
 
A 20-year-old woman Subaru passenger, also from Rowlands Castle, Hampshire, received a serious head injury which is not considered life-threatening.
 
The fifth Subaru passenger, a 27-year-old man from Chichester, received a broken leg.
 
The driver of the Audi, a 34-year-old man from Chichester, received a broken ankle and the 29-year-old driver of the Peugeot suffered slight injuries.
