From 1911 directory
Built 1873 by George James, 6th Earl of Egmont - 1880 Charles, 7th Earl, added a large room for infants & in 1885 a separate room for boys, further enlarged the school in 1895 - 1902 Augustus Arthur, 8th Earl, added a large room, fitted as a school museum; the rooms are now used for mixed scholars & will hold 130 seniors, 115 juniors & 55 infants; average attendance, senior 75, junior 82 & 52 infants; George Singleton master; Mrs Ruth Singleton, mistress; Miss A. N. Roff, infants mistress
