East Grinstead


A town in West Sussex, England, near the East Sussex, Surrey, and Kent borders, 27 miles south of London, 21 miles from Brighton, and 38 miles northeast of the county town of Chichester. The population at the 2011 Census was 26,383.
The High Street has one of the longest continuous runs of 14th-century timber-framed buildings in England.
In 1853 the warden of Sackville College, John Mason Neale, wrote the Christmas carol 'Good King Wenceslas'.
