Paternal Grandfather Charles Stacey, after retiring, to his own garden at the bottom of School Lane Stedham. A sizable one, as at his instigation, each senior Staff Member of the Stedham Hall, were given ¾ acre with their properties. So I assume they had grace and favour homes.
