	Brighton West Pier
	West Pier opened 5 October 1866 Storms in 1987 and 1988 caused damage to a section, isolating the Concert Hall & pavilion. Storms in 2002 and 2003 caused part of the pier and concert hall to collapse. In March 2003, the pavilion and sections were destroyed by a large fire. In May 2003 a further fire reduced the concert hall to a shell, falling into the sea during a later storm. 2016 - The i360 tower has opened at the old entrance to the pier. National Pier Society
