	Brighton Madeira Drive
	Brighton Speed Trials is the oldest running motor race after Sir Harry Preston persuaded the town council to tarmac the road surface between Palace Pier and Black Rock to hold motor racing events. This stretch was renamed Madeira Drive in 1909. The event is still held there. Full details here 2012 Fatal crash
