Bramber

The village of Bramber is located on the edge of the South Downs, to the west side of the River Adur. Nearby are the communities of Steyning to the west and Upper Beeding to the east.
The closest historical connection, however, is with the village of Botolphs to the south.
wiki
The Norman Church of St Nicholas is off the main street and nearby remains of a Norman Castle stand guard.
The once very busy railway station which brought hundreds of tourists daily was closed as part of the 1966 Beeching Axe. Nothing remains of it today.
