Bognor Regis

Royal Norfolk Hotel

In WWII the Royal Norfolk Hotel was used by No12 Commando and No5 Commando during 1943.
The Army Commandos were unformed, mobile units of battalion strength and had no 'permanent' regimental base or barracks and often occupied large seaside hotels as their Officers' accommodation and HQs - Other Ranks being billeted in with local families.
