Singleton

A village and civil parish in the Chichester district of West Sussex, in the Lavant valley, north of Chichester on the A286 Midhurst road.
The name is derived from the Anglo-Saxon 'sengel', meaning 'burnt clearing'.
A railway served the village station from 1880 to 1953.
