OLD SMITHY AND SCHOOL

Top image is from a postcard used in 1911.
Shows old Blacksmiths forge to left with old school, built 1863, to the right.
The building centre, behind the telegraph pole is the sub Post Office, which was still open 100 years later.

This information was supplied by Sue from Harting.
Her "Grandparent ran the sub Post Office for many years, plus further generations".

The Post Office is now on North Lane in South Harting
