	*Wapping*
	Wapping is a district of Tower Hamlets between the north bank of the Thames and the ancient thoroughfare called the 'Highway'. Wapping's proximity to the river gave it a strong maritime character inhabited by sailors and all the trades that supported the seafarer. It was also the site of 'Execution Dock', where pirates and other criminals faced execution by hanging. Their bodies would be left until submerged three times by the tide. Wiki
