Southbourne arson attack - 21 May 2013 - ref 92 - PR42425
A motorbike was destroyed and the outside of a house damaged in an arson attack in Southbourne in the early hours. Police were alerted to the fire in the garden
of a semi-detached house in Main Road by firefighters at 3.20am.
Detective Constable Ellie Hughes said: "The fire was extinguished and no-one was injured, but the motorbike was destroyed in the blaze and there was damage caused
to the front windows, front door, walls and guttering of the property. The fire also damaged a gas meter and melted piping which caused a gas leak.
A number of people are known to have been in the area at around midnight and we would urge anyone to come forward if they saw anything."
If you witnessed any suspicious behaviour or have any information contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 121 of 21/05
or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
