This photo was taken at the rear of Coultershaw Mill behind the pump room it shows a group of us fishing in the mill pond in the early fifties. The torrent of water issuing from the sluice gate can be clearly seen to the right of the person on the right. I am the the lad standing up fishing in the centre. I was close to the sluice water and that is where salmon trout jumped attempting to head upstream.
