Frederick Hare and his wife Annie, nee Wakefield of Balls Cross, owned the Bakery and shop-post office, from abt.1911 until the early 1950s. Annie's sister Maud Standen helped in the Post Office. Annie was born in Balls Cross, her family were from Kirdford.   info contributed by Lis Neal, Australia
