This is the cottages after they were rebuilt by my fathers' elder brother Fred, for their widowed Mother to move into around 1936. They then became known as 'Box Tree Cottages'.
My Grandmother lived there until she died around 1945. Her elder daughter, Min, who had tended her through a long illness, stayed on in the cottage until she died at the age of 99.
Around the 1960's my Aunt Ada and husband George, moving from Ipswich, took over the cottage next door. So the sisters Min and Ada were now back together after many years.
