Sloe Fair, Chichester, Sussex, - c.1904-06 - Ref- 578 - click image below to return
The name 'Sloe Fair' is believed to be a reference to a sloe tree that grew on the original site of the fair, in a field just outside Chichester's North Gate.
First held in 1107 it is still held annually on 20 October at Northgate carpark.
