Iron Dukes Knightsbridge Stables, London, England - Ref- 113, published 1926, photo by Whiffin
"Old Mews said to have been the Iron Dukes stables at Knightsbridge"
"Reached from Old Barrack Yard and a narrow way between the tall buildings about the Tube Station at Hyde Park Corner is a labyrinth of mews turned into garages. The white archway is reputed to have been part of the Duke of Wellington's stables.
This may be, but it is still more likely to be a surviving piece of the barracks which were here during his day and which were afterwards moved to the site in Baker Street on which Druce's shop now stands. The brickwork is whitened and the sashes and window frames are painted a brilliant green."
