Saturday, 22 June 1861 the Great Fire of Tooley Street, started in Cotton's Wharf on Tooley Street, London, England.
It lasted for two weeks, causing £2,000,000 of damage and killing James Braidwood, superintendent of the London Fire Engine Establishment.
