With roots tracing back to a Royal Charter granted by King Henry III in 1261, Findon Sheep Fair is an annual English country event
held on the second Saturday of September on Nepcote Green in Findon, West Sussex.
Until the mid-1920s and later, massive flocks of up to 30,000 sheep were walked across the South Downs.
They rested above the village and were brought through Findon after midnight to populate the pens on Nepcote Green.
