The Public Hall, centre, with its spire, opened in 1882. Later it became a cinema and was demolished in 1967.
The site is now a supermarket.

Now a part of the A272
Although not part of the oldest area of Midhurst many of these buildings are still over 400 years old. In the photo to the left is the Angel Hotel were the Pilgrim Fathers stayed on their journey to the coast before setting sail on their epic voyage. The building to the far left is now the Olde Tea Shoppe, here the author HG Wells lodged in a room above.
