Hove

A town immediately to the west, and part of, its much larger neighbour Brighton, which from 1997 were merged to form the borough of Brighton and Hove. Hove is bordered by Portslade to the west.

Town Hall


The original town hall opened in 1882.
On 9 January 1966, the town hall was mostly destroyed by fire
Construction of the new Town Hall began in 1970 and was officially opened in 1974
