Shoreham


A town and port which was established by the Normans at the end of the 11th century.
The Harbour remains in operation.

Norfolk Bridge


Opened May 1833
Paid for by the Duke of Norfolk, who received the tolls. The bridge had large arches with a lion and horse on top. These were later taken down and placed at Arundel Castle.
A new bridge was opened by Lord Leconfield 28 April 1927
