The Ship Inn

The building is thought to be around 200 years old, records of its use as an ale-house first appear in the 1841 census. It is rumoured that there was a tunnel from the inn to the coast which was used by local smugglers, but has never been found. Originally there was stabling for horses. It was modernised c.1930.
